How often will you release updates to the public beta? While we have extensive QA its a big release and obviously we cant test for every scenario be sure to back up your project before upgrading. But please use caution when using this release for any projects with tight deadlines or complex long term workflows. Like all of our public beta releases we welcome your feedback and are grateful of the time you invest to test and report on the software. Should I jump right in while in the middle of my project? You can make them from the DaVinci Resolve help menu. We have a new sub-forum for DaVinci Resolve 15 Public Beta feedback so if you find bugs or crashes please assist everyone with details of your system, the bug report and diagnostic log if you have one. We also recommend you also make a drp export of your active projects. You can save it as a copy of the original database so you can then upgrade the copy and preserve the original should you wish to re-install v14.3. There is a database update required for this release so if you are on v14, please back up your database and then most importantly import that backup to verify its status. This update is available for Mac, Windows and Linux OS but please note the App Store versions will only be available after the final non beta release. ![]() There are free versions also available from the support site and an updated comparison table to describe the differences between the Studio, free and App Store version.
